The population in northern and western Washington is pretty well-defined by its position in relation to Seattle, and suburban sprawl is as evident in this part of the United States as any. Arlington is technically an hour north of downtown Houston, but the metro area has no breaks between downtown and the city of Arlington proper. Angel of the Winds Casino is a tribal operation in Arlington that exists thanks to exceptions made to Washington law for Native American gaming venues. Angel of the Winds is not like the big hotel complexes operated by tribes in other states, essentially it’s a slot parlor with a few bonus games for good measure.
