Deadwood isn’t exactly the prettiest place on the planet, but it’s been preserved as a tourist version of a former mining town, very similar to what is seen in the background of Western movies. It’s a bit cheesy at time, but the legal gaming options are increasing by the year, and Martin & Mason is a lot of fun, particularly for slots fans.

The focus at Martin & Mason is so heavily on slots that it’s difficult to find a video poker game, much less a table game. According to recent visitors, Martin & Mason has a few dozen table games (mostly classics with a couple of casino poker variations) and there are clusters of video poker machines toward the middle back of the slot area, but it’s hard to see past the thousands of flashy slots in all denominations and varieties. No live poker and very little activity outside the banks of slot games.
Martin & Mason has three eateries on campus – Martin & Mason Café, the Bistro, and a snack bar. The snack bar operates around the clock, selling convenience store standards as well as deli sandwiches and personal pizzas. The Café is open from 6 AM to 9 PM most nights, serving traditional American diner food in a quiet setting. The Bistro is the venue’s high-end restaurant, with reservations recommended on weekends.
