Fargo, North Dakota is one of the furthest north population centers in the continental US. King Pin Casino is one of a small number of miniature gambling venues located in the Fargo, North Dakota area. As the name implies, the attached gaming center includes a multi-lane bowling facility, arcade, and other forms of family-friendly entertainment. vk34

Because of state gaming law, it is only legal to operate a few specific games, so King Pin is a small operation located inside a large and popular bowling alley and restaurant facility. Just off Interstate 29 near downtown Fargo, King Pin is not the biggest gambling property in this region, but it does host gaming 24 hours a day. Sandwiched between a major bingo parlor and another smaller casino to the south, King Pin makes up part of what could be called Fargo’s “Strip.”

Eight gaming tables are open every day at King Pin, 24 hours a day. At the time of this review, the only game available is blackjack or some variation of it (especially Spanish 21). No other table games are provided, in part because so few other table games are explicitly legal by state law.

Other betting options are available, mainly bingo (live only) and pull tabs. A paddlewheel game is also on the premises, though its payouts are strictly limited to a maximum of $680 by North Dakota law. Lottery sales are also permitted, though it is unclear at the time of this review if tickets and scratch cards are being sold on-site.

King Pin is attached (and part of it located inside of) a larger entertainment and retail complex, one that includes three dining and drinking venues. A snack bar serving traditional American fast food is open 24 hours a day. A full-service bar is open between the hours of 11 AM and 2 AM. Other options are available in the larger retail and entertainment space that’s part of the King Pin complex.
