One of the newest gaming properties in the state of Mississippi, Magnolia Bluffs opened in December of 2012 after years of preparation and plans for facilities as diverse as a three-story mega casino to a small card room and bingo parlor. The 45,000 square foot (single story) gaming floor has a similar variety of games available as any venue in the South.

Magnolia Bluffs is built on the site of a former sawmill and lumberyard, and the interior space is designed around that theme.

The casino floor is broken up into two areas – one section contains 580 gaming machines at the time of this review, including video poker and electronic versions of table games. The other section is set aside for ten table games, with live dealers hosting Vegas classics like blackjack and roulette on a rotating schedule.

Three different drinking and dining spots are available to guests of the Magnolia Bluffs Casino.

The first, Cypress Mill Italian Steakhouse, is a classic sit-down Italian restaurant and bar. Most tables have a view of the Mississippi River. This space is open between the hours of 5 PM and 10 PM most nights of the year, excepting a few holidays.

A more casual experience is available at Magnolia Bluffs Buffet, an on-site buffet restaurant. This is a country-style affair, serving a blend of modern American fast food and soul food.

There’s also a lounge on the property’s back deck, serving beer, wine, and cocktails as well as small plates and appetizers.
