With a gaming floor spread across two levels, hundreds of slot and video poker games, and plentiful entertainment and Vegas-style dining, Big Jim’s is the rare privately-owned casino competing with the bigger names in the industry in the middle of their new stomping grounds.

The total number of machine games available across both levels of Big Jim’s is just over 1,000 – that’s a combination of slot and video poker games as well as machine versions of games like casino poker, blackjack, roulette, etc. But table games are plentiful for this part of the country – as many as two dozen games are available at any given time. Blackjack is the most popular, with three variations available at the casino depending on the day of the week or the season.

Live poker is also on offer at Big Jim’s, though not 24 hours a day like the main casino floor. Instead, the room operates on a changing schedule. The variety of games available is nice, for a casino outside of Nevada or New Jersey, with two or three variants available every day. There are also weekly and monthly tourneys at different buy-in levels.

Four eateries are available on-site – two traditional restaurants and one sports bar, as well as a snack bar on the casino floor. The snack bar and sports bar are open 24 hours a day, but only serve alcohol during legal service times. The two traditional restaurants are open between 8 AM and 10 PM most nights, with extended service on weekends and during holidays.
