Augustine Casino 3a3z6w
Augustine Casino is operated by the Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians in the town of Coachella, California. Coachella is a small town with a significant native population – three different ultra-small tribal peoples live in or near the city, and the three casinos located in and around Coachella are all run by those Native organizations. d5z2w
Coachella is just north of the Salton Sea, a far-exurb of Los Angeles, on the outskirts of the larger and better-known city of Indio. The world-famous Coachella Music & Arts Festival takes place just a few miles from the city of Coachella every year.
As an interesting side note, the Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians has the distinction of being the smallest Native tribe in the United States, and maybe in the entire world. The tribe actually died out in 1986, only to be revived a few years later by a surviving ancestor. Today, only 8 of the tribe are alive, only two of whom are adults. It’s another fascinating story found in the annals of American casino gambling.

Since Augustine Casino is operated by a recognized Native tribe, it is licensed to offer some forms of casino gaming not normally found in California, namely table games. At the time of this review, Augustine was home to five different table games (including three blackjack variants) as well as 1,000 slot and video poker games.

- Menyikish Bar & Grill – This casual restaurant also has a full-service bar with big-screen TVs for sports viewing and a grab-and-go convenience window for snacks in a hurry.
