In the seaside town of Great Yarmouth, just off the beach and nestled away between the Sealife Centre and Sara’s Tearooms is Grosvenor Casino. It runs out of an old brick Victorian building with French doors opening out on to a terrace and garden opposite the town’s entertainment pier. Due to its somewhat remote location it’s difficult to reach with public transport, although you can get a train from Norwich which takes around half an hour and the station’s about a 20 minute walk from the casino. Norwich has the closest international airport which is about 20 minutes outside of the city making the full trip from airport to casino approximately an hour and a half. The casino boasts of having the best gaming experience in town, which would probably be true regardless of their quality (!) but they do have a good range of slot machines available with popular games like Cleopatra and Lady’s Lucky Charm featuring amongst them. They also have roulette, blackjack and poker tables available.

Poker players will be pleased to know that both cash games and tournaments are a feature of the casino. Cash games start at 9pm on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday and there are also tournaments held on all of these days plus a further one on Saturday. The buy in is highest on Thursday at £40 for a freezeout bounty game and lowest on a Monday at £5 for a quad chance game, with the others being around £20 to £30.

The restaurant overlooks the garden and offers a variety of dining options for a broad range of budgets and tastes. They also do a great value three course Sunday lunch for £10.50 per head if you book in advance.

The bar serves a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as light snacks and screens all the sporting action from both BT Sport and Sky on their big screens. Live entertainment is also scheduled periodically throughout the year and food and drink promotions are offered in conjunction with these events. You should make sure to book for these in advance.
