Northern Lights is a First Nations casino in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, in the west of Canada. The casino is run by the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority and first opened in 1996, located at what is known as the “Gateway to the North”. The closest airport, in Saskatoon, is a 140 kilometre drive to the north and drivers should take Highway 2. The casino has well over 500 slot machines, all with the latest ticket in, ticket out technology as well as a range of table games on its 18,500 square foot gaming floor (the overall size of the casino is 46,500 square foot). The Starlight Lounge hosts Karaoke every Tuesday and Wednesday as well as hosting live music acts from the region periodically. Exact dates can be gleaned from the events calendar on the website but there are frequent offerings with some fairly well known actas coming to the casino. It is closed on Sundays and also offers a food menu from 11am to 9.30pm six days a week.. There are also monthly dinner shows and the casino won “Night Club of the Year” in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
